I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
